March 2025 saw the return of Love Beer Festival to The Rockfield Centre in Oban — and what a day it was!

This year’s festival was extra special as it marked five whole years of Oban Beer Seller and our fourth time running this little love letter to Scottish beer.

10 Incredible Scottish Breweries — One Afternoon Only

We were absolutely delighted to welcome 10 small, independent Scottish breweries to Oban for the festival:

→ Epochal Brewery
→ Dog Falls Brewing Co
→ Otherworld Brewing
→ No Limits Brewing
→ Mains Brew Co
→ Isle of Eigg Brewery
→ River Leven Ales
→ Dookit Brewing
→ Wild Barn Beer
→ Holy Goat Brewing

Each brewery brought their best and most exciting beers to pour, and the atmosphere all afternoon was buzzing.

Tickets were almost sold out in advance — and any that were left on the day were snapped up straight away. It wasn’t the sort of event folk could just wander into for a quick drink… this was a full afternoon of beer discovery, meeting the people behind the beers, and soaking up the vibe.

Massive thanks as well to Holly and the team from Solas Pizza for keeping everyone fed, and to The Rockfield Centre for being the perfect host once again.

A Birthday Celebration

This year’s festival was really a celebration of how far Oban’s beer scene has come in the five years since Oban Beer Seller first opened. Back then, the idea of an independent beer shop in Oban felt like a bit of a gamble. Fast forward to now, and the town has a proper beer community — thanks to all of you.

One thing that made us smile (and still makes us chuckle) is that a few folk at the festival were asking where they could buy these beers locally… not realising the festival itself is run by Oban Beer Seller!

So here’s your reminder: Oban Beer Seller is very much here all year round at Stafford Street, opposite the Distillery!

The shop has just had a wee makeover too — and we now offer beer tasting experiences for small groups. Perfect if you want to try something new, learn a bit more about different styles, or just enjoy a relaxed drink with pals.
